have approximately 4 acres
of land subdivided into 4 lots, along the top of a ridge commanding
a dramatic view of the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the quaint
Village of Calibishie on the other. Look to the horizon across
the strait and chance to view cruise ships, surfacing whales
and the French Islands of Guadeloupe, Les Saints and Marie
Galante. At night, the dark skies of Dominica give you a showcase
of the heavens, and the twinkling lights of the Islands.
The property is located just beyond Savanne Paille settlement.
A one-lane concrete road along the top of the ridge accesses each
of the lots, followed by a local trail to the Village of Calibishie.
As you approach the property, the 1st lot has a gazebo which captures
stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean, and overlooks the village
of Calibishie. The Gazebo has a small secure garden shed and a
1200 gallon water cistern beneath which is connected to the next
lot with a house/cottage. Fruit trees abound, including Coconut,
Banana, Guava, Avocado and Mango.

two story, two-bedroom house/cottage
sits on the top of the ridge, on the second lot also affording
incredible views of the ocean and valley below. The ground
floor features a kitchen/living area, bath with shower and
bedroom. This can be used as a small rental unit, a guest
room or a second bedroom. A small covered veranda also overlooks
valley and ocean. The second floor features a wrap around
covered veranda with exceptional views of the Atlantic
Ocean, the French Islands, the valley and the mountains to the
west and north west . . . Spectacular sun sets are common! There
is a full kitchen with a breakfast bar.
The sleeping area is through a set of double doors opening onto
the large veranda. There is a bathroom with walk in shower.
The unit is designed for “out door” tropical living.
The walls and windows are set to catch the cool breezes of the ridge.
The location is such that any other building will never obstruct
The house is built with security, ease of cleaning, a possible income
and low cost long-term operations in mind. A reverse osmosis filter
in the kitchen sanitizes your drinking water. If preferred, it is
possible to connect to the grid, as the primary electrical power
lines are only 600 feet from the house. Dowasco (Dominica’s
water supply company) has pipelines at the base of the valley approximately
800 feet from the property.
